The Trust is re-opening the Roman circus visitor centre, site and tea room for the summer on Tuesday 11th April. We are busy finishing off some improvements for our visitors before Tuesday. We have had a new wall built on the southern side of the building, for a display, and the layout of the ground-plan of the Roman circus in the garden is being improved. We have also installed a set of silhouettes of spectators on the circus seating-stand profile in the garden. We are very pleased to present Kate as the new manager of our tea room. Trust director Philip has decorated the tea room with a frieze…
We have already had a few groups of optimistic visitors, this week!
The opening hours will be Tuesday-Saturday, 11.00am-4.00pm, until September 2017.
Admission is free!
The Roman circus visitor centre, site and tea room are wheelchair-/pushchair-accessible.
*** The Roman circus visitor centre, site and tea room will be open on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, with guided tours available at 12 noon on all three days, but we will be closed on Easter Sunday.
