The Roman Circus was well-represented at London’s Liverpool Street Station yesterday as part of Visit Colchester’s #ColchesterRomanInvasion event. With Roman military support, Samantha spent the day raising public awareness of this nationally important Scheduled Monument.
Championing Britain’s only known chariot-racing track, the Roman soldiers encouraged all to visit the Roman Circus Centre and to go on a guided tour of the site to find out more.

Have you seen the archaeological remains of the arena where this popular Roman sport took place? Maybe you’d like to visit again? Light refreshments are available from the Roman Circus Café.
