Local small business ‘Bread and circuses’* will be presenting a live music concert here on the stage at the Roman circus centre on Saturday 14th November 2015. Singer-songwriter Fern Teather will be playing songs from her debut album Hiding in the dark. This is the first public concert to be held on our stage!
From Fern’s web-site: ‘… Described as “A fantastic young artist, with an enchanting and infectious song-writing style” by Tom Simpkins from BBC Cambridgeshire … Fern has just released her debut album Hiding in the Dark.
Fern is a full time singer-songwriter, and draws from her love of reading and her quirky take on life’s more reflective moments to pen lyrics and melodies so expressive that when she sings them, they send shivers down your spine! Inspired by bands and artists such as Laura Marling, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, The Staves, and many more, Fern pulls on her eclectic taste in music to create her own unique “folk-edged Americana” sound …’
Doors open 7.00pm; Fern will be on stage from 8.00pm until 9.15pm. Tickets are £10.00 each, and ‘Bread and circuses’ are kindly donating half of the profits from the concert to the Roman circus centre.
