Friends of CAT AGM and annual meeting: tomorrow, 2nd February

Tomorrow (2nd February), the Friends of CAT will be holding their AGM at Roman Circus House at 11.00 am.

Later in the day, at 2.00 pm, the Friends of CAT will be meeting at the Lion Walk United Reformed Church in Lion Walk precinct in Colchester town centre. Trust director Philip Crummy and some of our archaeologists will be there to give short illustrated talks, looking at the work of the Trust over the last year. The talks will be about the renovation works and excavations at the Stockwell Arms; 97 High Street; the on-going works at Greyfriars, for its conversion to a boutique hotel; the remarkable Roman cemetery at the Butt Road car-park site; and an update on the Roman circus. There will also be a small display of recent finds to look at. The talks will be followed by tea.
All welcome at the meeting! There is no need to book, just come along. The meeting is free to Friends of CAT and costs £2 for non-Friends.
We look forward to seeing you there.
